The barque Sedov completed repairs in the dock

At the beginning of this week, the barque Sedov was removed from the floating dock. During docking, the underwater part of the hull was inspected and crack detection was carried out (measuring the residual thickness of the hull structures and outer plating). The hull was cleaned of old paint, rust, shells and algae.

After carrying out the necessary welding work on the plating, preparatory measures and priming, the hull was repainted white.

During the docking, the propulsion and anchoring devices were also inspected and repaired, and the ballast tanks were painted and repaired.

The remaining repair work scheduled for 2025 is planned to be completed by 30 August.

It should be noted that the sailing ship arrived at the Svetlovsky Ship Repair Plant for scheduled repairs under the state contract on 26 May 2025.The barque Sedov entered the floating dock on June 1.
