Seminar for the heads of practice

The heads of cadet's practice will be sitting the sessions at BSA RF for 2 days. The final stage of the seminar will be held on the Krusenshtern. Within three days the seminar participants will get acquainted with the latest edition of regulations governing organization and practice of cadets on sailing vessels of Rosrybolovstvo. They will also study the psychological risks and problems of long-distance voyages. The representative of Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing will give recommendations on compliance with medical and sanitary standards.

KSTU rector Vladimir Volkogon made an opening speech and welcomed the heads of sea practice of educational institutions, deans of faculties, heads of departments. Mr Volkogon summed up the results of the meeting held the day before in Moscow and told about preparation for the expedition and the requirements of the shipowner to the formation of cadet groups. V. Volkogon wished everyone fruitful work and successful cooperation.

Head of the Department of Navigation and Practical Training Mikhail Novikov elaborated on the stages of circumnavigation and the routes of ships. He also briefed the audience on ports of call. Mikhail Novikov drew the attention of the audience to the fact that the barque Sedov (for the first time in her history) will approach the shores of India and proceed through the Panama Canal.

The guests of Kaliningrad will finish the first working day at the Historical and Сultural center of Marine Education of BSA RF. Center's head, Elena Antipina will tell the guests about the history of the University and its role in the marine fishing sector of the region and Russia.
