Five days and more than 1,000 miles under sail

On January 7, the Sedov stopped the engines and kept proceeding under sail. By January 12, the ship has had quite a significant mileage.
It's no secret that there is a lot of physical work on board. The crew and cadets are involved in every single operation on the vessel.

It is a good time for the cadets to think about the profession of a seafarer and a future career. However, to be a true seafarer it is not enough to admire the ocean, one has to be committed to the vessel. P. Mitrofanov, I. Schneider, V. Nechaev, G. Royev G. Kolomenskiy devoted themselves body and soul to our sailing vessels. Thanks to these Masters the Soviet and Russian sailing school of captains has been preserved and keeps on developing.

Retired Master Alexey Perevozchikov and acting Sedov's Master Evgeniy Romashkin had a meeting to exchange experience on the eve of the expedition. Mst Romashkin is sure that the circumnavigation will make a worthy contribution to the development of the Russian sailing fleet.
