The first port of the barque Sedov

On December 21-23, 2019, Sedov made a technical call to the port of Brest (France), where the ship had a bunkering.The cadets and crew had a short rest.

Brest became the first foreign port for TSS Sedov. Local residents gave the guys a guidance on must-see places.

We saw the main sights of the city: Pont de Recouvrance, Brest castle, the XIX century St. Martin Church. We really liked the architecture of this city: narrow streets and beautiful parks. There is a pre-holiday atmosphere in Brest: elegant Christmas trees are everywhere.

We were lucky to be in France on Christmas eve. We were walking along one of the main streets of Brest and enjoying festive atmosphere.

Sedov's call at Brest was a special occasion for the residents of the city as well. Brest newspaper "Le Télégramme" devoted an article to the sailing ship and the expedition.
