First impressions

While Sedov was leaving the home port the cadets were having lots of feelings and emotions.
Cadet Denis Dyadchenko says: "I have already had practice on a training ship, but for the first time I am going to have such a long voyage. This expedition is a great opportunity to see the world and become part of history".

Cadet Yuri Rygin adds: "I was looking forward to going to sea. it's some kind of romance".

The sea was not very welcoming. Wind gusts reached 22 meters per second and the first all hands on deck training was announced. It helped to build a team.

Cadet Alexandra Nistor says: "Our Bosun helped us a lot. He allocated our duties. During the whole time we were having our Head of Practice with us, he helped us with his advice and guidance. So, I think we coped well with the task."

At 9.18 in morning everybody saw a rainbow, a good omen for seafarers.
