Rosrybolovstvo sailing vessels have been equipped with the Russian satellite system "Gonets"

The Center of Monitoring System (CMS) of Fishery and Communication together with the Unified operator of the State Corporation "Roscosmos" on communication systems, broadcasting and retransmission – JSC "Satellite System "Gonets" have equipped the sailing vessels of Rosrybolovstvo with the ship earth stations.

Installation and adjustment of "Gonets" stations have been finished, a steady signal has been received. Throughout the voyage, data on the positioning of the training sailing frigate Pallada, the barques Kruzenshtern and Sedov will be transmitted to the Industry monitoring system and displayed on the mapping module of the centre.

"Thanks to the convenient mapping system of the CMS, anyone will be able to monitor the sailing of the vessels during the expedition in real time. We expect a great nationwide interest in the circumnavigation and international attention to the event", - said the head of the CMS Artem Vilkin.

The Pallada has already received the necessary permits and is preparing to leave the port of Vladivostok on November 1. The "Gonets" has also been installed on the sailing vessels Sedov and Kruzenshtern. Permission documentation is being issued.

Russian satellite system "Gonets" was designed to transmit data on a global scale. Communications are provided via low-orbit communication satellites. The system allows one to exchange messages, implement integrated solutions for monitoring of object location of and the transmission of telemetry information from controlled objects to monitoring centers.
