A Prime Meridian and tug-of-war

On December 17, at 15.50 (ship's time) it was announced that the Sedov was approaching a Prime meridian.

Soon Master Yevgeny N. Romashkin informed the crew and cadets about entering Western Hemisphere. This event was decided to be marked with the tug-of-war competition.

Kaliningrad, Astrakhan, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatskiy and St. Petersburg teams were struggling for victory.

The competition was not easy. Finally the team from Petropavlovsk Kamchatskiy won. An Academic Operations Officer handed special medals to the winners.
