New daily record

The barque is heading to Montevideo. On the 7th of January waves were rising, and swell rolled the vessel so much, that she listed considerably as the result. The wind rose. There followed Master's order: "All hands on deck!" The Master gave instructions for setting square and fore-and-aft sails and yards bracing. Current ship's speed under sail is 11 knots.

Last year, when the Sedov was en route from Murmansk to Kaliningrad her daily speed record under sail was 222 nautical miles.
