Heading to Tierra del Fuego

On February 4, the barque Krusenstern left the port of Montevideo and headed to the southernmost city of the planet – Ushuaia, Argentina.
For three days the ship was staying in the Uruguayan capital of Montevideo. The visit of the Russian vessel was very interesting for residents and guests of the city. On the day of the "Open Board", the ship was visited by 1,231 guests.

On February 3, the Kruzenshtern was visited by the Russian Embassy representatives, military attache, heads of the country and the city, representatives of military and security services of Uruguay.

On the last day of the stay, Kruzenshtern delegation headed by Master M. Eremchenko paid a visit to the monument to Bellingshausen

A group of cadets also had a tour of Fortaleza del Cerro fortress. The cadets spent time at the Military Museum and admired the panoramic views from the observation deck of the fortress.
