Heading to Rio de Janeiro

On the first day of the year a sandstorm that came from the Western Sahara hit the barque: the deck and rigging were covered with fine sand and went yellow at once. By the way, the distance to the nearest shore was about 200 kilometers.

At the same time, the first flying fish appeared. And in the evenings, everyone watched with admiration a truly magnificent milky seas effect.

On January 7, there was a big clean–up and cadets changed their uniform for tropical one.
