A short but bright stay in Vigo

Vigo Bay is well known from the novel "Twenty thousand leagues under water" by Jules Verne. Here captain Nemo replenished his gold reserve. The arrival of the Sedov was the event of the day in the city. The Sedov was visited by 1,208 people within two hours. The guests of the vessel received various souvenirs. The ship was also hosting numerous official delegations . For example, the President of the port authorities Lopez Vega, representatives of the Spanish Navy, civil police and the union of pilots came on board. There was a traditional gift exchange on The Sedov. A lot of people came on berth to see off the vessel. Ship's whistle informed the port about ship's departure from this hospitable Spanish city.
