The frigate Pallada has taken calm-water trials

The training sailing frigate Pallada has taken calm-water trials after engines assembly completion, auxiliary diesel generator and main diesel 1 and 2 maintenance.

The sea trials were carried out in the waters of the Amur Bay. During the tests the operation of power plants, propeller, anchor devices and auxiliary mechanisms was checked. Speed tests, maneuverability and vibration tests of the ship were performed in various modes. Also, a number of ship's life support systems, including radio-technical equipment of the vessel, navigational systems, communication systems, life-saving appliances, survival appliances, ventilation and air conditioning systems were controlled during this sea passage.

After completion of all works, the vessel will be inspected by Eastern branch of the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping. The frigate will receive all the necessary documents for the voyage. The Pallada will start her third round-the-world expedition on November 1. She will return to her home port of Vladivostok on June 9, 2020.

Simultaneously, two more Rosrybolovstvo sailing vessels (the barques Sedov and Kruzenshtern) are preparing for the voyage. They will also join the round-the-world expedition in honor of the feat of Russian seafarers.
