One can enjoy summer here in the beginning of January: blazing sun, light breeze and tall palm trees.

The next port according to the plan will be Montevideo (Uruguay), the Sedov will make a 33-day transatlantic crossing. Now the vessel is replenishing food, water, and fuel supplies. Boxes of oranges, pineapples, and other fruits have already been delivered on board.

A member of "Cultural associations of Russian-speakers on the island of Gran Canaria" Mr. Nikolay Potapushin offered Mst Evgeny Romashkin to hold a beach volleyball tournament between association members and cadets.

Five cadets were delegated to the sport beach of Las Palmas. After several hard sets, the teams decided that it was a mutual victory.

In the evening the vessel took a pilot and shifted for bunkering.
