99 is more than just her age

The exact date of barque's launching is not known.The date specified in ship's passport is February-March 1921. Nevertheless, the crew made a decision to schedule a celebration on February 14.

In the morning of February 14, a contest of lookouts was arranged to mark the beginning of the holiday. After the afternoon tea, all those who were free from work and watchkeeping were invited to the concert.

KMC cadet Mary Sarkisian opened the concert with the poem "You and the sea". The cadets and crew members prepared a waltz and other dances, songs, self-penned poems and videos.

The best of the best were awarded with medals and crystal statuettes.
