Alexey Kulikov is best chess player of the third voyage

The struggle at the chessboard took three and a half hours.
The last voyage was in a routine mode: there was just one sailing area and the only port of call. it contributed to the slow pace of life. The main task of this month was to polish the main tasks, to make them clear to the cadets, to explain the basics of seamanship and to hand over the experience to newcomers.

The difficulty of the first steps is gradually replaced with new knowledge and skills. The preparatory training program was successfully completed, all the cadets passed the tests at their workplaces and were allowed to work on their own by the order of the ship's captain. The Kruzenshtern cadets began making reports on practice, studying engineering, navigational and radio equipment. They keep ship's watches, navigational and engine watches under the supervision of ship's specialists.

Mentors do not forget about creating a special microclimate on board that promotes learning and implementation of practical tasks. Friendly environment facilitates life on board. There are all necessary conditions for good work and decent rest on board: comfortable facilities, apple-pie order in public spaces, hasteless and well-planned procedures on board. Such atmosphere contributes to teambuilding. The mentors pay special attention to cadet. Their first voyage should be full of events, covering all aspects of life at sea.

On July 26, a chess tournament was held on the Kruzenshtern. The final game was played by the cadets Egor Utkin and Alexey Kulikov. Egor, by the way, was the winner of the chess tournament in the voyage 3/127 last year, so his opponent was having a hard time. However, the representative of the BSA RF Alexey Kulikov harnessed his willpower and defeated Egor after 3.5 hrs game.

Birthdays are also celebrated on board. B-day boys and girls receive congratulations and gifts from the top officers and friends. By the day of the Russian Navy the cadets released a festive newspaper with congratulations and prepared a video that was broadcast on the ship's television network. So life on board is humming.
